Too many preachers pull a few verses out of a weighty chapter in order to pound the pulpit against homosexuality in Romans 1, but as we find out in Week 3 of The Romans Road Trip, Paul was writing about so much more than just the issue of same-sex attraction, sexual immorality, or any of the other hot-button topics. While those are clearly identified as the result of denying God’s design, what else becomes clear is that all of us – the gossips, the slanderers, the disobedient, and others – are in desperate need of the gospel. The fact that all of us can be rescued through Jesus is what makes that gospel such good news.
