For starters, serving others is a huge part of how the forgiven express their thanks to Jesus. (Colossians 3:17) And speaking of Jesus, He made it clear that He “did not come to be served, but to serve.” The way we see it, if Jesus came to serve, we’re probably going to serve if we want to become followers of His.

Throughout the ages, great men and women have found serving to be a non-negotiable for followers of Jesus, and we agree. There is nothing that will help the body mature faster than its members serving each other.

The Gathering has plenty of  areas in which you can serve! Here are some of the more common ones. Most of our Team Leaders try to schedule Servant Leaders on a bi-weekly basis, so you won’t be serving every week.

These servant leaders support the growing Family Life ministry at The Gathering in a variety of ways, from greeting, check-in, teacher support, decorating and much, much more.

Our First Impressions team believes that you never get a second chance to… well, you know. From our Greeters at the door to our Hospitality Team brewing you a nice, warm cup of coffee, these teams love being the message before the message! Use your outgoing personality and people-skills to make first time guests and planted members feel right at home.

This team is awesome!! They love people, and love creating an environment that allows people to relax, breathe, and fully experience what God is doing on our campus!

Do you have production skills and thrive in a high-energy, fast-paced environment that takes worship to a whole new level?  Be a part of the team of servant leaders who bring it all to together through the use of lighting, audio, video, stage props, camera operation, and stage management.

Worship opens our hearts to see God all around us. When we worship, we get to celebrate all that God has done for us and how He is working in our lives. At The Gathering, we value the transforming power of being in God’s presence, and the worship team is a huge part of helping our church live that out each week. There are different ways to serve on the Worship Team: musically, vocally, and administratively.

This team is for if you have a desire to see people connect the Sunday messages to the rest of the week! Our Next Steps Team helps people take next steps like baptism, finding a Community Group, or trying out a new Serving Team.
